Diaspora: The scattering of people from their homeland
Psyche: The human soul, mind or spirit

Taking as their subject matter historic and contemporary flows of people and the memories, values and sense of spirit that they carry across geographic borders, the paintings and installations of this exhibition invite us to look at diasporic memory as an essential tool in sustaining culture across time and space. Diaspora, Psyche invites us to reimagine these histories, to learn from the benevolent and ethical voices of the past in order to consider the changing world we live in and ways in which to shape a possible future.
